Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information RenewalPilot ("we," "us") collects when you use renewalpilot.app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It's written in plain language rather than legalese — if anything is unclear, email us.

What we collect

• Account information: the email address and password you sign up with (passwords are hashed by our authentication provider — we never see or store the plain text).
• License data you enter: profession, license type, state, license number, expiration date, and CE-hour progress for any licenses you add. This data exists specifically so we can remind you before deadlines — that's its only purpose.
• Billing information: if you subscribe, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a customer and subscription reference from Stripe, but we never see or store your card number.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and debugging.

How we use it

Strictly to operate the Service: authenticate you, store the license data you enter, send you the renewal/CE-deadline reminder emails you signed up for, process your subscription payment, and respond if you contact us for support. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run RenewalPilot, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Cloudflare — website hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — delivery of reminder and account emails

We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in between visits. That's it — no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual licenses yourself at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and all associated data entirely, email us and we'll process it promptly.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time. If you're in a jurisdiction with additional statutory rights (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), those rights apply and we'll honor requests made under them — just email us.

Security

We rely on industry-standard practices from our infrastructure providers (encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

RenewalPilot is intended for licensed working professionals and is not directed at children under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
